I've been finding it really difficult to meet good guys in the normal offline places like school and coffee shops.. Sooo...I turned to online dating and met a great guy at Catch27.com, who I've been dating now for almost two months. He's great! But all my friends give me a hard time about dating a guy I met online. What do you guys think? Am I weird, or is this becoming normal these days?? It is 2004, after all

It's alright, as long as you know where to look and how to be safe. There's nothing wrong with it, as long as you look in the right places, can tell genuine people from freaks, and are confident that it's the right thing to do. My friend does it and it works out Ok for her (I suppose) but right now I don't realy feel the need. I suppose it's always there as a last resort, and that's what's so good about it. I think it's basically up to you - if you want to take the risk, and also if you're not afraid of being turned down. As I said before, as long as your'e safe there's nothing to worry about And in reply to your post, it is becoming more and more normal - not so unusual. More and more people are doing it and people are seeing that it's safe, and they're getting used to it, so it doesn't sound so overwhelming.
